+1 on the small Weber Q. Had one for years and very satisfied.

I'm a Weber Q convert too.
I cook anything from large pork roasts to bacon + hash browns + tomatoes as part of my Saturday morning bacon and eggs treat. It's better on the Weber than any other way. |

I know it's not gas but the minimaxx and mini Green Eggs look pretty interesting and versatile. FWIW, I couldn't make myself go back to gas grilling again.

Infrared Gas Grills are a whole different animal vs traditional gas or charcoal. Significantly less moisture loss (e.g. well done meats are still juicy). The difference is striking.

Q3200 here, 4 years now. Great to grill, gets good and hot for searing, easy to keep clean. Never any problems.

For portable in the RV/trailer the Nexgrill portable is a good choice (there are several different names for the same grill). Simple and replaceable... You can change the hose/regulator out for a quick couple hose for the RV.
If you are going to do a designated home BBQ/gas grill, there are so many options out there. Some of the Broil King and Napoleon gas grills are North American made. Some are not badly priced.

I bought a Napoleon Prestige Pro and the only think I like about it is the infrared side burner. Can never cook steak any other way again.

I'm starting to see the logic of a small compact grill. I think IR + convection in a small footprint would be the shiznizzle.
