Stop The Brutality: Assaulted By a PIG Today! Pic!

Little bugger bit my ankle! I'm pretty sure she was trying to kill me.

Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.

Revenge is a dish best served with barbeque sauce.

I'm pretty sure she was trying to keep me away from these little guys:

Was not previously aware of a mother pig's protective nature. Am fully in the know now! Funny thing is she was seperated from her piglets by a fence, which is what she's working on in the first pic.

My boss in the 90s told me a story of a farmer here in Nova Scotia who went into his pig pen one morning to find his brood sow badly scratched up and a bloody mess about the face and neck. Then he found the bobcat carcass. Apparently, the bobcat had planned on a piglet meal, but it cost him his life when Momma pig got hold of him. He obviously fought back, but came out worse. Momma Pig healed fine.

Are you keeping them separated so she doesn't eat them? They look old enough to survive.

A big sow with a litter will try to put some serious hurt on you if you get in the pen with them.

I once was told that you never fall over in a group of adult pigs. It could be the end of you. I am trying to stay on top of the food chain, not the bottom. I believe pigs will eat anything but I don't have personal experience with pigs and farming. Can pigs be aggressive other than just the maternal instinct?

Hell, I was taught that you don't get between a Mother anything, and her babies. What little I've been around pigs, I can see them being very aggressive. I read somewhere that they are smarter than most dogs to boot.

In light of the History Channel's immensely popular documentary/movie about the Hatfield's & McCoy's, I wonder it it was fued-related vengeance -- you a Hatfield by any chance?!?
