Replacement of switch on my...
Amana fridge. The auto on/off switch on my Amana fridge that controls the interior lite was acting up. I got a replacement part but the electrical connections were at 90 degrees to the old elect. connections. The question is does it matter which wire fits on which terminal if the the terminals are the same width? As it is it works fine now but can reverse polarity be tolerated in low voltage lites like this?
Signing off I have seen the lite but is that enough? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

No problem on a switch like that. I have a low voltage trigger switch on my MIG welder that doesn't care which way the wires go. I can't imagine your fridge switch is any different.
