on a side note..when i am eating, and a mariachi band surrounds me and starts to play..i envision a steak knife to the nuts of the guy with the extra large guitar..

Yea, the maraichi band is horrible IMO. The surround you and keep playing louder until you tip them to go away.

Mexican Polka is called 'Banda'.....they get the brass from the influx of Germans in the last century.

Mariachi is a four piece strolling minstrel, horn, guitar, bass/Guitarrón and violin in most cases. Originated in the mexican state of Jalisco.
