I do understand that under certain circumstances they can use shoes (whether it's due to heat or I understand that in certain circumstances they run shoes to keep ice crystals from cutting their feet up (I think that's usually sled dogs under specific circumstances).

my dog is a bit of a Dick. he likes to fight with other dogs.
with humans, he is the most gentle guy ever. i was trying to clean a scratch on him this weekend and i was very vulnerable, if he decide to take a chunk out of me. he didnt. other dogs? man we are on alert full time. no free roaming. it's scary and i HATE having to manage the A-Hole. if i knew, i wouldnt have brought him home. sucks. you all with great confident well adjusted dogs..lucky. the suck of adopting an older animal, is a crap shoot..which brings me to his other thing. he craps a lot.
