So, really chilly here today with winds...the D Train decides to ride the last 1/4 mile:

"You are not going to post this on the PP Dog thread, right? Me riding!"

Yes.

"Alright, let's do this."

Big is looking like a patchwork quilt. He had nine lumps and warts cut out - luckily none turned out to be cancerous.

Cold once again and after my 40 minute ride, her 40 minute sniff-ex, she decides to ride back like last time.

I pull out the camera.

"Not this sh** again!"

How do we know which dogs are cold and which dogs love the cold?

And FYI, dogs actually have a biology that helps keep them warm. The veins and arteries in their legs are routed along side each other, so that the cold blood heading back to their heart from the paws is heated by the warm blood in the arteries. This helps keep the blood in their body and heart warmer. Or so I've read.

I do understand that under certain circumstances they can use shoes (whether it's due to heat or I understand that in certain circumstances they run shoes to keep ice crystals from cutting their feet up (I think that's usually sled dogs under specific circumstances).

my dog is a bit of a Dick. he likes to fight with other dogs.

with humans, he is the most gentle guy ever. i was trying to clean a scratch on him this weekend and i was very vulnerable, if he decide to take a chunk out of me. he didnt.

other dogs? man we are on alert full time. no free roaming. it's scary and i HATE having to manage the A-Hole. if i knew, i wouldnt have brought him home.

sucks. you all with great confident well adjusted dogs..lucky. the suck of adopting an older animal, is a crap shoot..which brings me to his other thing. he craps a lot.
