Check this out. How's a guy suppose to make a living and deal with this crap. He would have been killed if he had got out. Its happening in Canada where I feel its much safer then the US generally speaking.

Idiots all. Why on earth would the driver just sit there in his car surrounded by a violent mob for several minutes and then plow through them?? It was inevitable that he would wind-up running one or more of them over, I was just waiting for it to happen.
I used to drive a cab many years ago and I have stories that could curl your hair involving thugs, mobs, etc... The guy could have driven a block away and called 911, told them that he was being attacked and that they were still in the area. Unless people are shooting at you, when you are in a car you have all the advantages. Like you can get away.

Damn Denis, there are no white guys driving taxis around these part for a long time. I remember them when I was little. Was this in LA?
Why the hell would they attack a taxi when you were in the bussiness? |

That was FUBAR for sure. I think that the driver would not have had much trouble with the law if he had just driven off to the left of screen when he had the chance.
Once he turned back into the pedestrins and then drove over one and then did a burn out on one of them, his prospects turned a bit darker. Cheers Richard |

He will probably be cleared.
Something similar in Toronto, a store owner beat up a thief and of course he is the one that got charge... Huge outcry, even the Prime Minister made comment. He was cleared and they are now changing the law.

Cab driver is facing 4 charges. According to witness reports he threw a bottle at the men and tried to run one of them down before the video started. All over a $4 difference in the cab fare (he claimed $9 they said the meter was $5). Usually there is one rate for one passenger and another for multiple passengers.
He will do time. He could have left the scene. He used his car as a weapon and someone got hurt. He's going to jail.
