Who cuts your lawn, you or your wife?

As I posted a few days ago, I am going in Monday for a hernia operation. Since I will be laid up for a few weeks, my wife will have to cut the grass for the first time ever! (We have been here for about 23 years) Now hiring someone else is out of the question, as we have five acres of lawn. And it would cost about $200-$250 each time it was cut. And it looks like I will be off the tractor for at least three weeks, maybe four. As our lawn is very rough, so a lot of bouncing around in the seat.
So today I show my better half how the Kubota works and how to cut the grass. My god, I will need to get more diesel as she drives all over the place!! The Kubota cuts six feet at a time, but she misses so much or is going over what she has already cut. As long as she misses the trees and doesn't run over anything she should be alright, at least I hope so. So who cuts your lawn, you or your Wife??

My wife runs the self propelled mower around the house.
For the rest of the acreage i use this. She's not afraid to get on it either.

None of the ladies in the house have any interest in doing lawn mowing. I could use a break this summer.

This is what it looked like when I did the laundry last.

Apparently I'm doing it wrong.

My wife has not touched a mower since before we were married. She did help trim long ago. She has not helped with the yard in years. She does help when I wash her car, but not when I wash my cars.

Wife wanted a big yard, I wanted a condo (I have terrible Asthma) so she mows it. I offer to get someone to do it from time to time, but she says she enjoys it.

If it doesn't have a key for the ignition switch, my wife doesn't know how to start it.

Gardener is included in rent now. Before then, my wife would always do the yardwork. She has my back on all things domestic. She also brings out the trash ... My wife grew up on a farm - she can do anything.

You won't believe it, but I actually got flak from the neighbors why I wasn't doing the yardwork and had my wife do it. WTF?

The only thing I do at home is cook on the weekends and sometimes int he evenings. I also have to hang things, if I want them straight.

My wife mowed it about 95% of the time. When I did mow it, she usually found something to complain about so I just let her do it. Now that she's moving out I've been doing it but I see a lawn service doing it in the future.

I do the mowing, my wife will edge & use the string trimmer. We can finish the entire yard (app. 1 1/2 acres) with 2 driveways and pretty complex mowing to avoid all sorts of things in about 2 hours.

Hard to pass up a mow/blow service for $50 a month.
