Ok, this was a little later in my formative years. The song doesn't start until 2:18.

I am sure you mean "Blinded by the Light", but the Manfred cover of "Spirits in the Night" is much, much worse.

"Billy Don't Be Hero" was the first to come to mind for me, but as it's already been posted twice, I'll go with "Cats in the Cradle," wherin you get some whine with your cheese.

Sweet's "Love Is Like Oxygen" gets a pass from me - it's clearly a case of someone coming up with a great power chord and finding nothing it goes with, similar to Beck's "Loser."

"Cat's in the craddle" by Harry Chapin....disagree! That is a great song!

......."as I hung up the phone, it occured to me...my boy was just like me, yah....my boy had grown up just like me!...."

A great song for fathers and their sons!

Is That All There Is? -Peggy Lee. Mick Jagger once said that if he could write a song as sick and perverted as this one it would make him truly happy.

Star rockets in flight, afternoon delight? I vaguely remember something like this assaulting my young ears.

++++1 on "Afternoon Delight"

Maximum Cheesy. And it got got worse with repeated hearing.

It seemed to be played non-stop one summer while I was serving aboard ship in the US Navy. Talk about a captive audience.

I love Fish heads, I sing it to my kids all the time!
I'm surprised they haven't killed me in my sleep by now.
