OK, we all agree that there truly were some bad cheesy songs way back when we were all growing up and, love them or loath them, at least some of them must have brought back some great memories. So, with that in mind, should we close this thread and start a new musical theme based thread....one based on a great event that happened in your past???

Godley and Creme's "Gizmo" (also known as "Gizmotron") guitar effects device invention also is used to create a bowed cello effect that surfaces in the middle and closing sections of the song under the endless looped voices.

The same voice loop effect was used in Billy Joel's ballad "Just the Way You Are", released two years later. "

Ditto on the John Denver, Ann Murry might be a little of a stretch ..... I rememember liking a couple of her songs several decades ago but haven't heard any of it for so long I can't even remember one of her songs off the top of my head.

There are a couple track day songs I used to play on warmup laps when I ran in my street car (993) with a CD player.

Blue (Da Ba Dee) was one of them and Haddaway was the other.
