Stop motion. Lots of videos using clay figures and it looks like an animated cartoon. The guy used his engine.

I saw a sand sculpture that the guy said he normally did in 2 hours. Shooting his stills, it took him 3 times that. Since the motor guy spent 11 months building his engine, he had plenty of time to stage the shots. I would say it took considerable time to do that, but the real time was assembling the pics and synchronizing them to the sound track.

We know that sound track from Disney's "Sorcerer's Apprentice" staring Mickey Mouse. It was from "In the Hall of the Mountain King" by Edvard Grieg. I think the choice of the music was unbelievably good.
