From that photo, the spokebug looks to be on the same order of strength as the spokes, and more rigid. The other doohickey will be flung out of the way by the tire and will do much less damage hitting a rubber tire.

Then there is the issue that the spokebug doesn't make as good of a stand as the doohickey.

No thanks. I prefer to buy local and support fellow PPOT members. I get my stripper poles from Kevin P73.

FYI, the doohickey is called a 'Flick Stand'.....if you care.

On the pole dancing thing? I prefer to rent....both the equipment and the meat bag.

Rhode Gear called them "Flickstands"

25 bucks? Seems high. Real high.

I noodled this a year ago. conclusion was none of the people I ride with would attach that to their bike.

doesn't address the bars turning, but something like a rubber band on your bars that you could stretch out and attach to your front brake handle to lock up front wheel.

Lots of different frame tube sizes and shapes now too.

Dude, a bungee is a rubber band, just a better one. You can loop it through under the seat. Plus it gets the job done.

It weighs a lot less than a water bottle. But then I ride a steel rigid or else an old alu mountainbike. So a little weight doesn't scare me.

What you need here is something that will hold and prop up the bike when you park it and the same thing can be used to beat dogs when riding.

Don't patent that idea just yet. One time use. You're in trouble if there are 2 dogs.
