OP, you will get no encouragement to bail from the P-car ranks from me. I've owned a 911 for 14 years and just added a Cayman R to the stable. I cant imagine not having one.

My GF has a Chrysler. Such a POS. I hate to work on it. Just sayin.

Patience. Too late to start a pool this year anyway. Use that time again to get the best deal on a pool (off season).
here in the midwest pools are now on sale its also a perfect time to dig as it has been so dry . I will do the pool regardless but wanted to use the proceeds to do a walk on cover. I have been researching pool kits for a couple of years now and currently have an above ground pool and just want to go the in ground route.

as to trying to go to quick maybe your right I just have made up my mind and want to act on it. Its sometimes hard to be patient as many know . The deal will happen when the right person comes along

Not sure if the Webman was serious, but telling someone to quit the Porsche hobby by buying a 993 is like telling a kokain addict to quit by shooting up with heroin.

The 993 is awesome, but cheap it ain't. Buying and running it ...

Good luck, hope it works out.

I'm sure I'm not the only one with similar thoughts from time to time. Cost is only part of it, but it does matter. When the weather is mild I love driving my SC, it's almost the perfect car. Then it doesnt want to start one day, shifting gets hung up, A/C... basic 911 quirks. It's those days I think about moving on.

Hilarious......
Thinking of David Spade in the movie Joe Dirt. Racing his beloved 69 Daytona against the T/A Anniversary Ed with the thunder chicken sticker on the hood.

Whenever, I see someone in these cars, that image of a mullet head just won't go away...hehe

as I said early got no hair so that is not an issue for me I will have to buy the hat that has a mullet

My first car was a 1977 firebird esprit with a pontiac 350 (yes different from a chevy at that time) I bored it out .040 over had the cam, milled heads, stall , 3.73 posi, 3" dual exhaust the whole deal. and even had a mullet at that time. I owned that car for 9 years and enjoyed that but enjoyed my porsches too. I still love porsches but the p-car tax is bothering me more and more as time goes on. think about it I was always the one trying to be cheaper then everyone else in the exhaust game and still make them here in the usa. that just does not happen with other business's . I think a 944 turbo would be next on my radar or possible just a plain old lowley 944 even a 924turbo would not be out of the question. who knows time will tell. I have someone coming monday to look at the 964 and I have lowered the price to 22K obo and prepared to take less. The autotrader ad also went live today. so we will see.

I am sure I will try many different cars in my life and multiple cars. then again I may sit on this 964 who knows

Who does the fabrication? I know you started out in your garage while you taught welding classes for your primary job.

Ahh, that is a relief, we are still in good hands. Good luck with your future ventures. I took a 5-6 year break from Porsche cars, but I got bored quickly, and came back. I saved my SC through it all, and the day I unwrapped it, and put it back on the road, was like getting back together with my high school girlfriend again. I would think long and hard about selling your car, but we all do what we have to do.
