Sounds like you are asking too much if you have looky Lous and no offers. Did anyone throw out a number? If you are serious about selling, cut the cord and do it.
Here, 4k for an easy project, especially if you don't have emissions in your neck of the woods: 2000 TRANS AM WS6!!!! I still think fixing all the issues will make it a much easier sell, so you are definitely on the right track there. G |

I have had several call and want records faxed to them but no takers. 2 guys wanted a car to turn into track cars and onw guy wanted one that was perfect with no paintwork . the other guy looked at it twice and is waiting until after this weekends race at road america he wanted to possibly look at older porsches before making a decision .. I am not sure I am over priced but in this area people are already thinking about fall/winter and I think people want a smoking deal as we near the end of the driving season. I have been down this road as well.
I am going to buy a stock airfilter assembly as that worry some(It came with out the original one) and fix the ding and the air condition for sure. this should help value considerably. I may also pull the engine and fix the small leaks . this is all depended on if I hang onto it for the winter. then in spring sell it and possibly get 3-4K more for it.

Sure sounds like you are going to be in the porsche game at least 6 months longer. I'd fix it up - maybe you'll like it much better again afterwards and keep it. You also want to detail it when the body is done - we are talking used car lot level of detailing, including the engine compartment, shampooed carpets etc.
Keep us posted! I would be happy to look at any WS6 heaps down here - they apparently are pretty inexpensive in my neck of the woods. Let me know! ![]() G |

Driving season is near the end in mid July?
Send me a ticket and I'll drive the thing out to CA. I'll stop and show it to anyone along the route within a reasonable distance. No end of driving season here! And I've got an extra garage now that the Carrera is gone. Get some paint and I'll fix and paint the repair. Can't get good paint here. |

Milt,
Funny thing is the paint work is right up my alley been doing that stuff for years painted half a dozen cars myself and done another dozen or so body and prep. as to driving season no its not over but spring fever is waay over we started spring so early in the midwest this year that people are already preparing for fall (leaves are actually falling already). People are also hoarding hey which is a problem for me as I need hay for our alpacas. and winter clothing is starting to go into the stores. We are also in such a drought that boating on most lakes is a challange to say the least and some are coming out of lakes so they dont get stuck on boat lifts (boats are cheap right now). so in reality driving season is until december but motivated buyers are rare in this unusaul season. keep in mind my family has been in the used car business for 60 years so they track this stuff pretty close.. Milt I would love for you to take it to california but not sure it would net more money out there or not?

well did the first good burnout with the fox body mustang 5.0 the other day and that was satisfying and have driven the 964 allot this week. probably gonna keep both and when I want to beat a car good then the fox comes out the 964 is by far a much higher quality car. Gonna keep it unless someone comes by for the right price and catches me in the right mood

Looked like a nice car, Ben. I hope you didn't drop your shorts too far. You seemed rather anxious. Anyway, congrats on the sale.

Simple - buy the 9k project camaro and drop manual WS6 drivetrain into it. Done!
![]() 19k for your car is a good price - you definitely did well with that and will have enough there to get back in the game. G |

Wandered off somewhere...
|
I'm kind of in the same game...out of the Porsche game. It's just too low for me now with my recent back issues. I'm getting a taste for a 50's American car...old 56 Ford or Chevy. Love to have a T-bird but they are major bux....
Dean, I loved lookin' at all the wagon pics... ![]()

89 Trans Am GTA, WS6 package, 4 wheel disk, cold AC.
Yea, it is a big heavy pig, but fun, lots of torque. But, typical of American cars, lots of plastic, heavy doors, ect.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A friend's kid in the front seat.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Well I bought this car it is a big fixer upper needs quaters, rockers, part of a floor pan a rear frame rail bascially all new metal however the convertables are worth a llot of money so with the purchase price and the parts (not including my labor ) I should be able to double my money and have fun doing it . Always wanted a convertable
