Best wishes for a great recovery.

Also, being nice to and thanking the nurses will get your mom the best care possible, will cost you nothing and may bring a sense of calm to everyone when your mom needs it most.

Mom,

Everyone in NYC is wishing you well. I don't think there is enough room here to write everyone's name so I'll just say.............Live from New York, we wish you a speedy recovery!!

Love, Michael Bloomberg, Mayor;)

Hello Dave's Mom..

do get better quickly..
while you did an amazing job raising these 2..
Dave doesn't do well when left alone for very long..
and while we do our best to cheer him on..
it's clear..
there are really but a few things he deeply cares about..
you & his family..

sadly most men don't say it often or very loud...
but you need to know..
Dave/your son loves you very much..
and he's not afraid to tell the world.....

wishing you the best

Rika

Dave:
Just read this thread and wanted to pass along something to look into if I may...and if you haven't already. Laser tumor surgery:

laser tumor removal brain - Google Search

From what I've read about it, it's worth looking into. Letter to your Mom to follow on a separate post...

Prayers for a full and speedy recovery sent from the land of fruits and nuts (I'm one of the nuts)

Visited my mom in the hospital last night, recovering from hip surgery.

Prayers sent for a speedy recovery Dave's mom.

Cancer sucks.

Dear Dave's Mom:

I've never met you but hope that I can some day...you are obviously a wonderful person and great Mom. I don't think I've ever heard a guy go on, like Dave did, about how great his Mother is. Certainly I wish you a successful procedure and many happy years to come. Many of Dave's friends have expressed the same sentiment...we'd all love to meet you when this is all resolved...maybe that can happen :)

Hi Dave's mom,

Wishing you a speedy & full recovery!

I'm going to stop by my 88 year old mom's place this week to see her new vegetable garden. I'll give her a special hug in your honor.

Don't tell Dave I said this, but you did a pretty good job with him. That said, I don't think you're quite finished yet...

craigster59 08-01-2012 07:39 AM

Hey Dave's mom! A speedy recovery and hope to see you up and around soon enjoying some of that great food your son is always smoking and grilling and posting pictures of!

Dave's Mom,

I'd like to thank you for raising fine people...a very difficult job.

Your next job is to kick the tumors a$$: Wade into it, learn everything, steel yourself for the effort. If you can raise Dave, my money is on you:cool:

Do this for you.

My prayer is that strength straightens your shoulders, that love surrounds you, that you never ebb in the fight, that your wit returns with a vengeance.

Bless you.

BlueSkyJaunte 08-01-2012 08:28 AM

I suspect "I love you, Mom." is more than sufficient. It's obvious from your post that you do, and I'm sure she knows it. But it won't hurt for her to hear it (again). :D

Good luck to you both. Tell your mom to kick that thing's ass!
