I agree it wasn't their best work (yellow submarine, seriously?)
But Elanor rigby, taxman, and good day sunshine weren't bad songs.
Wait, what?

I pull the trigger, it goes bang. I pull the trigger again, it goes bang again.

Semi-auto, I pull the trigger, it goes bang (the first time) and then it will probably go bang the second time.

Me too. I have tried to develop an interest in semi-autos, but I just can't do it. Oh, I do have a couple 1911's just because, but they really don't serve my needs. I even go a step further than just revolvers - single actions are my all-time favorite, most used sidearms.

I have a couple revolvers that belonged to my wife's deceased first husband. One is a Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 magnum and the other is a Colt Peacemaker .22

I can't hit the broad side of a barn with them compared to my trusty Glock 34 or my Ruger Mark II stainless slab side. I would sell them in a heartbeat if they did not have sentimental value to my wife. My two handed thumbs forward grip is much more stable for accurate shooting for "ME"compared to the goofy revolver curved grip. I have no doubt that the revolvers are accurate, but they are not in my hands compared to autos that allow my IDPA developed/practiced grip. I am fairly confident Higgins would beat me in any type of bullseye contest with his revolvers, but I guarantee I would fair much better using my autos than I would using my "wife's" revolvers in any kind of shooting match.

My Glock is extremely reliable so that argument for revolvers is a non issue for me. I agree however that .22 autos indeed are somewhat more likely to FTF than a .22 revolver, but much of that is due to the dirty nature of .22 rimfire which even in revolvers sometimes fail to fire.

If I participated in outdoor activities in grizzly bear country, I might consider taking the .44 mag Ruger with me (but I don't).

For concealed carry, I carry a tiny .380 auto that fits in a front or rear jean pocket and is thinner/smaller than any of the small CCW revolvers. Anything even slightly bigger makes carrying concealed too much of a pain in the arse for me. Ditto for my wife.

Different strokes and all that I guess.
