Counting the days. My iPhone 4 is getting a little slow and I am ready for my upgrade.

I've actually been having no issues with an unlocked Galaxy Nexus on a T-Mobile month-to-month account. The 5 will have to be something really impressive to knock me off this. I'm pretty sick of contracts and have been saving money with this setup.
It will be interesting to see where they go with the design. So far it looks like a slightly sleeker 4S with a bigger screen. But that screen size is key as I find the 4.65" to be a bit too big of a form factor. |
Pretty sure that it's going to have a new data system, not 4G but LTE or (?)
That could be promising. Admittedly I don't know dick about these things. When it comes to phones, I'm like the guy who buys the newest Porsche and enjoys driving it but really doesn't know much about what's under the hood. |
Verizon Vacation Blackout Reveals The New iPhone Will Launch On Friday, September 21 | TechCrunch
This looks to confirm the september 21 release date. The best part is that my upgrade will pretty much be a wash. I can sell my 4 for about what I will pay for my 5. |

Just a 4? Not a 4S? I should buy one from Verizon for $49 and sell it

I can add a line for $9.99 but will have to also add data for another $20-30 per month so figure all in it's $40 per month for 24 months plus $50 for the phone and we are into it for $1,010 minus the $400 I can sell it for and I'm only out $610. |

Is that the one with the new patented screws so you can't take it apart?

My point is that I've been with Verizon since 1998, so I'm not likely to leave in the next year or two....contract or not. And I've got three phones that work with Verizon that I assume will keep working. So even if I sold the $49 iPhone I buy today, I'll still be able to use my current phones. So it will cost me nothing in terms of real incurred costs. |
