Movie advertising getting obnoxious
Seems advertisers are finding new ways to make us sorry we have cable tv or standard radio turned on. the moron dj's on my local radio stations are going on and on about guardians of the galaxy as if it was a natural conversation and not a paid ad. tiresome.
make a good movie and people will pay to see it. no need to insult the intelligence of your audience by having djs pretend to have liked a movie and follow some script written by a doofus.

My local radio stations and TV stations all play these STUPID adds for a local Kia dealership, who prides themselves on being the most annoying adds possible. I keep the radio on all day at work, and seem to hear at least 1 an hour. I then go home and watcha few shows in the evening and get assaulted again by the same adds but in color.
DJs are paid to say what the advertisers want regardless of thier own views. I couldn't handle having that job, and being on location at the dealership i'm talking about. |

Radio? Who listens to the radio anymore?
Our local station ran me off when they insisted on playing the same few songs every single day. The constant commercials were bad enough but Manford Man's Earth Band version of "Blinded by the Light" every single day, sometimes twice in a day was too much. I switched to Pandora. No commercials at all and only good music.

Commercials and ads in general are out of hand. I usually never watch any thing longer than an hour long program and at least mute the sound during commercials. For the occasional movie, I record it & fast forward through commercials. Occasionally I wonder when corporate influences will try to get rid of the mute feature.

I've never paid for cable tv.
The extra price was supposed to include no advertisements. That was the sales pitch. They lied. I watched other people's tv and there's 20 ads in a row. A statistical anomaly. Content vs. adverts probability.......I did the maths. Why would anyone pay for advertisement? |
