I posted this in the other Apple thread, but Woz is a visionary also. Not as driven as Jobs but would bring some bit of normalcy to Apple. I think if Apple could get him back in a position where he is the publics contact with Apple then the future for the company would be set. Just .02 cents worth.

To be honest, Woz is pretty "out there" these days. Good guy, but I don't think anyone takes him seriously these days.

techweenie 01-24-2013 08:01 AM

Woz is not a visionary. He's a jokester. Without the other Steve, he would have been at HP until one of the downsizing rounds caught him.

Can Apple thrive without Jobs? Maybe; maybe not. There should be a 3+ year pipeline of projects to work through. Then we'll see the real effect of the management matrix.

Remember, Steve set up Apple for a future without him through a series of deliberate steps. Ultimately, Jony Ive and Tim Cook and others will bring products to market... and we'll see.

motion 01-24-2013 08:02 AM

They should probably put Sir Jony in charge, at least as the figurehead. I think Tim looks too conservative for the Apple image.

It's a broken stock. It is down 36% while the total market is up 15%.

I am going to wait a couple of weeks and determine just how much damage the AAPL holders can stomach. Value investors will get very interested with any more massive selling.

One last second kick in the gut to close out the trading week!

KFC911 01-28-2013 05:47 AM

OK guys...I'm back into AAPL for a small stake (30 shares)...giddyup :D

McLovin 01-28-2013 07:19 AM

OK, what the heck. I just bought another 10 at $450.

Now I'm in at $550, $510 and $450.

biosurfer1 01-28-2013 07:40 AM

Buy high, sell low?

I think you're doing it wrong:D

recycled sixtie 01-28-2013 07:49 AM

Listening to a financial program, the adviser was saying it was heading to $600. However I will not be buying any. So therefore it will be volatile and likely eventually go to $600.:):)

I would not bet my house on it. Diversification is key here.

In for 10 more...taking some more profits (off the table) and being "learned" by RS :D! I'm done...we'll see where it is "on down the line"...I'm not a "trader" by a long shot. Would like to some more of that "cash on hand" restributed in dividends too! Good luck all!

KFC911 01-28-2013 10:23 AM

OK, I so I lied :D....so 10 more, done, and this time I mean it!

Saw an analyst on NBR last night saying there is a target price of 888.00 in the next 12 months.

motion 02-08-2013 10:26 AM

I was calling for $889. I don't know where some of these people get their numbers.

I just farted and it sounded like 888.40...it's quite possible that my dumb ass doesn't really have a clue though...might just be "gas"...YMMV :D
