Anyone see this when they are replying to a thread? What's it for, what's it mean?

You are a little late to this game Jake, What's this trackback thing?? I don't want it.
From Wayne in the other thread. "It's a feature that has been part of the software for several years now. It allows you to post the link of another site if you posted a reference to something on this site. I suppose there's room for some spammers to exploit this feature, but this is the first I've seen of it. The bottomline is that it has to do with the links on the site - nothing to do with anyone's personal account or anything like that. -Wayne
