Mexico blue Panamera

Had service work done on my 997 at Barrier Motors in Bellevue, WA. I went to pick it up, and this mexico blue Panamera was in the service bay. The paint was not done in the factory. Impecable quality. The surface was like glass.

Cost for the paint job? $29,000.

(Sorry about that second photo. I've tried importing 3 different ways, and it always ends up on its side.)

Nice paint job. $29,000 might seem like a lot but this car would be very difficult to get right.

Do you know if they did the engine bay as well?

Did Marv paint it? He's about the only guy I know that would be trusted to do that to a brand new car (and deliver on that trust), and the only guy I know who could even remotely justify that price tag.

Wouldn't it have been cheaper to order it that way from Porsche?

Even more hideous when you paint it a cool color.

That is what I was thinking. They will paint it pretty much whatever color you want.

They should have ordered it Paint-To-Sample

Better in EVERY way, much less expensive, and won't affect resale value quite as much

Complete waste of resources / money if you could have had it painted to sample / code from the factory.

I haven't bought a new one recently, but of course they will be happy to take your money, still!

Was going to say... for $29k I would leave it the factory color and find a nice 911 to sit next to it in the garage!
