Only problem is that Oktoberfest is held in September...

Totally agree with you about the ladies. German girls are pretty "easy on the eyes" and I ended up marrying one...

there has been a huge resurgence in the wearing of Tracht..
the young Germans are back into dirndles (dress) & lederhosen (leather pants)...
long ago one could tell which region one was from their Tracht outfit..

yes..I wore lederhosen..

Thanks for your responses so far - remember it is a picture thread....comments welcome but please add at least one pic with your post.

Back in the early to mid 90's I spent some time living in Fort Myers, Florida and was able to attend the local Oktoberfest event hosted by the "German-American Social Club of Cape Coral". German American Social Club of Cape Coral, Florida It was an awesome event spanning 2 weeks. Brought wonderful authentic polka bands over from the fatherland - wonderful authentic German food - wonderful authentic dress - wonderful authentic girls with which to chicken dance with!

I have photos stashed away somewhere I will dig up...

In the meantime....
