Their commercials are great.

Geico usually ranks pretty poorly in the files of state insurance commissions - contact the one in your state to find the best company - I bet you will find it is USAA (if you are a vet, etc.) and Amica will be up there also

Have USAA (dad was retired AF) and extremely happy with their service, competitive pricing every time I run a check. They are super fast and very good with communication.

I notice that Geico spends a great deal of money on advertisements.

I've had Farmer's insurance for several decades.
On the few instances when I had a claim, they took care of it no questions asked.
They jumped and then asked if that was high enough and if I'd like them to jump again.
Want a rental car? How big? What else would you like?

no waiting on hold for 20 minutes, no run around, no tons of paperwork.
Sure they're more expensive but I trust them to be there when it's my turn to collect, can't say that about any other insurance company.

Not sure how much of that is company and how much is agent.

Insurance companies try to be competitive in a super competitive market for personal lines. It pays to shop. It pays to actually review and understand the coverage you are purchasing to see what you get if a claim arises. Most companies today standard coverage affords aftermarket parts. Endorsements are very reasonable add-ons if you want OEM coverage. $36.00-70.00 extra every six months is an average for an OEM Endorsement. Loss of Use is the best bargain if your policy does not include it to purchase additionally. On average cost runs about the same as 2 days worth of car rental. Take it.

Unfortunately in California this is what the collision repair industry thinks of Geico.

We switched to Geico a few years ago when my family was auto challenged and we got dumped by State Farm...Ms Rocket had two accidents in her Tiguan (1 was a deer) and the two little Rockets got a speeding ticket and an accident (totaled the Tiguan).

We switched our auto, house and umbrella to Geico. No claims or issues to date.

Knock on wood, I’ve been incident free for 10 + years.
