You said you were leaving. Then you came back, but that it's only temporary and for the Ronin thread. Then you are everywhere, not just in the Ronin thread... posting the same old crap that caused so many to tell you to bugger off because you had become more annoying and tiresome than a hemmorroid. So, what's it gonna be... can we look forward to saying goodbye to the hemmoroid at some point? ![]()

I was hanging out with a friend recently talking cars, he's a few years older than me. He's not a big car guy but grew up rich. Somehow the subject of Mustangs comes up and he starts telling me about the new 1970 Boss 302 he had when he was 16. His first car.
I wanted to kill him. ![]() I loved those cars. ![]()

I have great respect for the new Coyote engine (Amazing power,444 hp @ 7500 and very wide torque band , much better than the 4.6/5.4 family it has replaced.. The chassis has very good turn in and ultimate grip ),but the live rear axle is only well behaved FOR a live axle. Long hood styling makes it hard to throw around because you cant see where the corners of the car are unlike the 911. Despite the power etc it,s still only a Mustang and my 993 IS ONLY a Porsche 911. My 1966 fastback is only a Mustang too ,which is a plus in that case because of cheap available parts and a smaller, lighter car. (now modified to 479hp @6400) This thread started about the old Mustang and they can be good fun cars but the most plentiful collectable car out there . The advice throughout is mostly about valuation coupes lowest, then converts, then fastbacks,. bonus for high options and originality . deduct for 6 cyl. Watch carefully for rust which can be expensive especially in a Convert.

Here's the load down, after seeing it before dinner yesterday. Original all right? What a POS. Faded white or beige paint with a couple of the usual door dings and one hub cap missing. A rat's nest of old worn wires under the dash. 6 cylinders, nothing to write home about Mustang. She wants 16k for it. Someone must have told her what they are worth because this old lady is pretty set on her price. I did not even think of a number, let alone say anything. I thank her and drove home without wasting my batteries to turn on my camera for you guys. No Fastback there, that's for sure. Thanks for all your help. Only wish if that was a 993 or even a 964, I would have jumped on it and pay fair market value for it

Well at least you went and looked. Most of the word of mouth deals I hear about are just like that one, yet I still always go and look, Ya never know.

I feel bad for pestering the old lady especially when she is my neighbor's friend. I almost feel bad for not buying.

Naw, if she wants to sell the car, she has to show the car, and if it doesn't suit your wants than you walk away. Nothing to feel bad about

I wouldn't feel bad. She got advice from someone to ask & hold out for top dollar. If she wants to get above wholesale pricing, she's going to have to deal with the craigslist scammers, etc.

Too many people confuse "old" with "highly collectable" because of the name badge...
Still, it was worth the look. If you hadn't, you'd always be wondering..
