All that parasitic drag is better? Especially when trying to hit Mach 1?

If I ever hit Mach 1 in free fall, I want to be stable. Spinning uncontrollably at that speed might not be good.

Buckterrier 10-09-2012 06:40 PM

I heard this Thursday he could try again weather permitting.

M.D. Holloway 10-09-2012 08:03 PM

Things are gonna get plenty hot. Should have slathered him up with some silicone oil...

I have a very good book on this. It is in storage.
Kittinger suffered decompression ..in his hand..along with torturous old tech.

I cannot even imagine what it would feel like to be standing at the edge of the atmosphere, looking down at 7 billion people, for several seconds, knowing you were THE ONE to be doing such a thing. That is really amazing!
