Is a Turkey ok to eat since Friday Evening.

Hello.
I made a Turkey on Friday night for a few.

Some left..the Turkey.
I am not one to waste food.
There, in the fridge sits a few choice parts of a Turkey.
It is is Wednesday. My fridge is kept at plus 2 degrees Celsius.
Will I get botulism of any sort if I eat the rest of it ?
I am single and no-one else will be harmed.
Still smells very good.
Honest suggestions.

-btw , I have a -somewhat- competent Lawyer!!

That's weird.

It's fine. Next time, get it all off of the carcass the first night, and enjoy yummy bits for the next week, instead of a big ugly cold bony runny mess messing up your messy fridge and making a messy smelly mess.

If it doesn't smell odd, it is fine. Cooked, been stored near freezing, no problem.

Eat it & enjoy it. I eat stuff that's been in the fridg. for a month. If it doesn't smell bad, it's fair game.

The turkey I assume is a store brand bird that comes salted and just needs to be roasted? That will be fine to eat for 2 weeks at that temp. The salt alone will keep the funk from growing. and the temperature makes a big differrence too. Think of the deli counter. How long do the salted meats sit around there?

That said, if you have a lot, cut it down and freeze it in portions you can thaw out later and eat in a day or two. Turkey sandwich? It will freeze well.

Now I am hungry - got any beer? Where do you live?

Well Mike things are getting pretty bad if you are worried about turkey. Now XL foods has an ecoli scare now so beef is suspect everywhere except possibly Saveon. You might have to open up a can of tuna!

Just make turkey enchiladas with diced jalapenos. If the bird don't get ya, the pepper will.
