Tom Petty's '96 Jag XJS convertible is on ebay

Currently at $40,500

On October 11th at 2pm PDT bidding will begin on Tom Petty’s stunning low mileage 1996 Jaguar XJS convertible. Purchased by Mr. Petty in 1996, Tom refers to this car as “my favorite car I ever owned." Included with the car, Tom will provide the winning bidder with a personalized autographed copy of the photo shown above.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières.
The auction will run for 10 days, ending on Sunday October 21st at 2pm PDT.

Fantastic looking car. $40k right now, that's a lot of money for an XJS but cool that it's going to charity.

Hope it sells for a mint! There is a V-12 four seater version of the same car in the garage right now and I feel the same way about it!
