I didn't mean that I suspected in any way that yours was built that way.

I was just curious about the ones built without proper motor mounts.

Why would anyone build a rod that way?

For less torque twist of the engine and drivetrain?

Was it a tradition from the old, old, early days of hot rodding that some prefer to just keep doing for sentimental reasons?

Very, very cool. I vote no paint, too, but think you should add some crazy pinstriping.

Well I guess traditionally it was done on the fun & cheap with what you had
near-by for parts. And kinda anti establishment. All well and good with me. I think mine's OK too though. Somewhere between radical rat and those extra nice
street rods that the highly skilled guys can turn out.
