re regular people

a PI will be costly and of limited help if the trackee is so low on the scales of society that he has fallen below the level of leaving tracks

anarchist types, survivalists, people with no assets

so, don't throw $$ down a rat hole after rat

A few years ago, so I can't remember the name of the site, there was a free "track down someone" service. I put in my name and it came up with quite a lot about me and if I payed $20 or something it would give more. I understand you need to be a bit discrete but you can find out quite a bit from public records online, plus facebook and companies registers that have details about directors. I work as a landlord and I can always track down someone who has done a runner owing money for rent/damages.

Some people just don't have Charles' sense of security and leave too many digital tracks all over the Internet. Those people don't need a PI to be tracked down.

For regular people you really do need a professional with some training to make sure the information found is accurate and complete. When I was doing it I had an analyst trained to do my link analysis. Otherwise you're just not sure you've gotten everything and aren't getting false positives, unless you really want to go to every county courthouse in the country and do a physical records search of your own. Most people don't, which is why they subscribe to commercial databases and hire professionals to search for them.
i see some here BROKE THAT SUPER SECRET DECODER RING BOND, but then KARMA is a REAL BEEATCH SOMETIMES..........isnt it, MRM.

but then when ya wear the WHITE KAWBOY HAT, ya dont need to look over yer shoulder ever.

Just giving you some gentle teasing, OJU. According to the man code we're all obligated to offer a little joshing when we have it coming. You know that if you needed any help I had to offer I would be more than happy to give it to you, and I know that under your gruff exterior, if I ever needed something you could help with, you would jump right in and offer it. I promise not to tell anyone though.

Yeah, and didn't he change his whole style of posting so that she'd never be able to log in here and find him under his new user name?

No wait...

well thanks mrm, i appreciate that.

but then theres speeder, the worlds most interesting child.

butt back to topic........................

in our state just about all county courts are now online. you cant pull any juvenile records, but anything adult is fair game.

we use it quite often, and from it you have a preetttty damn good idea of what kind of kat yer dealing with. its amazing how many "lokal personalities" have MUCHO BASURA" much garbage/dirt on them, and the public hasnt a clue unless it makes the 10pm news.

one of my faves.................is some kat bragging about how cool they are/how many toys they have/how many g/friends they have/what cool cars they have/and then..................ya find out THERE OWNED BY THE FREEKING BANK! LOL!

as ALL LEGAL DOCS ARE POSTED! here even a land survey is a legal doc. even a simple low level traffic ticket shows up under justice courts.

knowledge is power.

Yep, even using two or three aliases...someone with enough energy/time/money can track you down.
A PI or skip tracer can give you what you want for about $50.

When you bounce back and forth between Zaba and Intellius, you get the names of relatives, phone #'s and addresses. But if you don't have a first and last name, you aren't going anywhere. Approximate age helps a lot. I recently tracked down the woman that hit my Carrera when my wife was driving. We had gotten insurance info, but didn't get more than her DL number. Going through the DMV was too much of a hassle. I had her served for a lawsuit because I was unhappy with Allstate's settlement regarding my wife's injuries.

The matter has been settled out of court, but I had to file to keep the statute of limitations from expiring while negotiations continued. Otherwise, they will wait you out. They did anyway, but I'm digressing. W/o Zaba and Intellius, I wasn't getting anywhere and Allstate for damn sure was not going to give me an address.

I also used an attorney for the filing and he was able to verify the address for the service. Had I less information, I gather he would have used either a data base available to his office or a PI.

The point here is do what you can and you might be able to keep the cost of investigation down.

Friend of mine is a PI and I have used him "officially" several times.

What you are asking for is easy to find but a PI can make it more official.

oh joebob .............i have to go in early this am/monday................please tell us some of your P.I. stories , and start my week with laughter instead of doom and gloom.

my buddies who did this had me in stitches with laughter re: their stunts to get the "goods" on unsuspecting and suspecting slime balls. they would live for days in a camper taking pics, eating all the orange food groups,crapping/pissing in a 5 gallon plastic bucket, so they would not be seen. hysterical stuff. incredible amount of fake lawsuits re: neck injuries and back injuries from car accidents and the next thing when they "thought" nobody was looking, they would be playing golf/surfing/riding dirt bikes/snow skiing blah blah and a picture tells a 1000 words always applied when it came down to court time. DISMISSED! and then criminal charges thrown at them for filing a false claim! always a HOOT listening to them and the extent they went to following people.

All names used by the person (legal or otherwise).yup

Criminal court history, and civil court history.Yup...public record unless expunged (or sealed by the court in civil cases; i.e., adoption, etc.

Credit record, including all bankruptcies.Bankruptct yup---public record. Credit report is protected.

All marriages and divorces, married name, and if the spouses are still living.Yup...public record

All addresses used in the last 20 years; also city and country of birth.

Number of known children, and approximate ages of those children. Can find usually thru publicly disclosed info

Please don't reply if you have no actual experience with Private Investigators.

If you would prefer to reply via PM, please do. Thank you.

The question of "legal" is nuanced...some infor my be protected under privacy laws but if they have disclosed it with no expectation of privacy a lot of the info is available.,
