Such a small world!!! Over on FerraricChat a guy by the moniker "Elvis Nasty" bought a tire shop in hollywood. He was struggling. they sell alot of used tires. I had rims and tires from my son's BMW and daughters Q5 that were cluttering the garage. I needed new tires and he did me a solid. He told me he played bass in a band 9Electric. Crazy, huh? Cool cat. Wish him luck!

Another of josh, you can skip to about the 6 minute mark if you want to and just listen to the guitar solo.

It is a small world!! Casey is a good friend. He's also got a beautiful black Countach.....which is odd because he's 6'8" (I'm 6'2" and he dwarfs me in photos) and a Countach isn't a big car. He bought the tire shop on Santa Monica Blvd last year (he owns several businesses), and another friend of ours, Jake, runs the day-to-day there. Denis (Speeder) has done some work there as well. Casey is a good dude. Here's a couple photos someone took of Casey, Ron, me, my GF, and our friends when they were in town with Static-X last Fall..... ![]()

9 Electric
As long as we've talked about them, here's a couple videos from 9E. I think they're a lot stronger live. They have tremendous energy, it's infectious. They have fun. See them LIVE February 1st, 2013 at the House of Blues on Sunset in LA. Tell 'em I sent ya! Just came out yesterday: ![]()

Buckcherry
Bassist Jimmy Ashhurst is a fellow car enthusiast, drives an Aston Martin Vantage and a vintage 1960 Mercedes sedan around Hollywood (he lives just off Sunset). This just came out yesterday (where's Doug to comment on the blasphemy?):

What do you hear about My Darkest Day? Seems the singer went to someone like All that Remains and their guitarist went away too. Bummer...I liked them. Found out this week my Hs buddy's GF's son is guitarist for Pierce the Veil. San Diego emo/metal band starting to blow up. Herewith:

But Matt Walst didn't leave MDD. Three Days Grace's lead singer, Adam Gontier, also left to do his own thing. Which devastated the band. He told them a couple days before Christmas, via letter from his lawyer. Never personally met with the the guys. Left them hanging.....with a new album (Transit of Venus) and a booked tour with Shinedown this Spring. So, since 3DG's bassist is Brad Walst, he tapped his brother Matt Walst to take over as lead singer for 3DG just for the tour. Until they figure out what to do. Since MDD didn't have a tour booked for those dates, it made sense. MDD is currently recording a new album. They should resume touring later this Spring, and release the new album this Fall. Right now they plan on going without another guitarist, with current keyboardist Reid Henry taking over guitar and Matt filling in. Both have regularly played guitar during MDD sets, so it should be okay. Time will tell. Things aren't so certain for 3DG. Their fans are in uproar over Adam leaving and Matt stepping in. Neil Sanderson, 3DG's drummer, has hinted that Benjamin Burnley(formerly of Breaking Benjamin) is a strong possibility long-term. Fans may reject anyone but Adam. So maybe they will continue with a name change. Sucks all the way around. My ugly mug hugging Sal on the bus (in their last video): ![]() I've got quite a few photos with these guys Here's Sal and I and their tour manager Joey outside a venue (Buster's) in Louisville, Kentucky: ![]() And Matt and I outside the House of Blues in New Orleans: ![]() Quote:

Tiff and I visited our friends in Hinder last night as they played a casino an hour away from us. Such a great group of people, fantastic musicians, smart businessmen. I really consider these guys friends and truly appreciate their Oklahoman hospitality. We always have (too much) fun with them.....til 3am last night.
Tiff wasn't in this photo, she and Austin were engaged in deep conversation.... ![]() ![]() ![]() Here's my favorite track off their new album "Welcome to the Freakshow" Joe's lead guitar riffs are straight-up fun rock-n-roll:
