Way back in AOL days I was knee deep in restoring my 1947 Dodge truck - model WD-15. It was just a spur of the moment decision because that's what I was thinking about at the time I had to choose a name. As for other screen names, AOL let you have seven accounts and every one of mine was some homonym of WD-15. DubaD15 etc.

When in my mid-to-late 20s, I still played around on skateboards, bikes and stuff. So even though being a father of three, having a 'grown-up's job' and being a responsible adult, I refuse to 'grow up'.

Used this nickname on bulletin boards since the late 90's.

I was a First Sergeant and had a 911SC = tops911. Top is kind of a traditional nick name for first sergeants, in the old das they were the "top sergeant" of the unit, although most first sergeants don't embrace the name, especially when a subordinate call them "top".
Of course now I'm a Command Sergeant Major, CSM with a 930......

1st initial "A" as in Art, last name "Zasadny". Put them together and you get "azasadny". Pretty creative, eh?

CSM? Congratulations! I was in the 82nd Engr Bn in Bamberg. I guess the kaserne is closing in 2014, sad.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words. Craigster59 I do feel lucky to have been able to live in Bamberg before they close the kaserne. the 173d will be out of there by the end of next summer. My wife will have live there for 2 years; I on the other hand will have actually lived there about 7 months between field training and this deployment, LOL

Well, widgeon could be a bird(duck), plane, or a dogs (our golden) name and I've always liked Grumman stuff so if we ever get another dog she'll be named Grumman and 13 is a lucky number.

We used to fly over to Bamberg for lunch at the officers club and then buzz the nudest camps on the way home to Wertheim am Main. Peden Barracks, but that goes back 40+ years. The kaserne has been closed for at least 30 years. It was an old Luftwaffe base.

That's when you could take a helo out almost any time your heart desired.

Jesus, man. Why did you sell that? Not like you can just go out and buy another one, unless you want to triple the price, (or more).

Back in the dark ages of pelican (remember the days before vB) I signed on as 5axis. It was work related and is still a nitch in a nitch. Then when one of the forum upgrades came, it had issues with my simple password. Not a big issues but I decided to re-up and use my name after seeing how forums evloved and anonymity allowed people to be *****s. On some forum I read that people who use their name and stand up for and behind what they post tend to be better folks to interact with and that resonated with me. ( many other forums are much more full of stupid than PP )
