Finding Electrical Power

I am in need of some automotive electrical help. A 2006 Tundra Double Cab, installing a new rear view mirror that has temp/compass and auto dim functions. Need help in finding power for this around the fuse box. I'll start this with a question: Can I tie into the fuse box with a fuse, on a circuit that my truck doesn't utilize (ie seat heater)? Or will that be hot all the time? Thanks for any suggestions.

Depends on the vehicle, but sure you can use any socket that is not being used if there is a connector in both sides. Hot all the time? Only one way to find out...

$5 bucks will answer your question.

here is the link:

7 Function Multimeter

Don't laugh, these $5 digital volt meters are accurate to within 2-3 TENTHS of a volt off from my $250 Fluke meter.

2-3 tenths of a volt error, for $5.

I buy 'em and give them away as stocking stuffers at christmas.
