Band of Brothers Day
You may have served in combat or in non -combat.
You may have retired out or you may have served for a short time. You may have been a draftee or a volunteer. You may have served in the Corps, Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard or theMerchant Marines, BUT YOU SERVED. YOU DID YOUR JOB HONORABLY and for that I am PROUD to call you Brother. You may have served during Korea, WWII,. Vietnam, Persian Gulf, Iraq or Afghanistan, But you served, you did not run. You have a DD 214 with those words "HONORABLY DISCHARGED" two of the most noble words in the world. Again I am proud to know each and every one of you. * Today is Band of Brothers' Day* |

Thank you Gents. If I was the POTUS any man who went into harms way would never pay income tax.

Joe, "MEDIVAC" is not synonymous with marrying a German Doctor
![]() Rika, as always my utmost respect, rotorhead to rotorhead. You as well Joe. Also, Rika the Wonder Lab is huge. A pic from yesterday. He is smart like a Medic, easily confused like a helo pilot. Also, as you can see, I wear my old chocolate chip fatigues when I work from home, so comfortable: ![]()

Thanks to all of my Brothers and Sisters in-arms and to those who support us. I'll buy any of you a beer anytime. I can only serve 8 more years in uniform sadly.

was a war photographer [in training] in Cambodia in 1972...> paid my own way to the war..
Did Desert Shield/Storm 90-91 > Civil Affairs - helped kick-start the Kuwait govt/infrastructure back into action [MAJ] Bosnia - 1996 - Sarajevo / IFOR > excellent stuff - jump started the Bosnians - worked with the Bosnians, Serbs and Croats...[LTC] > helped get the telecom and electrical power back to normal OIF#1 / 2003 - initial entry into Iraq... CJTF-7 - Al Faw complex... lost a few folks on that one... that was a tough one... still have some mixed emotions... went back again in 2006 - working Intel systems.... One of my favorite/relevant lines - Blackhawk Down: >> "Hoot": When I get home people'll ask me , > Hey Hoot - why do you do it man?? - Why? Just some war junkie?? Ya know what I'll say?... I won't say a goddamn word... Why? They won't understand ... They won't understand why we do it... They won't understand that it's the about the men next to you, and that's it... That's all it is...
