Still see them down here, early ones still sell in the mid to high teens (over 100K on them)

Wait, that can't be right.

I thought the whole bad economy thing was forced on us by greedy fatcat bankers from Wall Street forcing people into bad deals. You mean people made poor financial decisions willingly?

Not many in the Raleigh area, ones I usually see have the 30 inch chrome wheels.

I think they are just plain ugly. I drive a big truck for work, 2012 F250 ext cab 4X4 so I am not against the big trucks at all, I just think they (H2's and 3's) are ugly.

I remember my old boss who was an avid outdoorsman went out and bought a brand new H2 when they first came out. Within the first week he took it up North hunting and came back on Monday with tons of scratches down each side from front to back. I asked what the heck he did and he said if it was made for off-roading that is what he was going to do with it. He took it hunting in the North Woods.

I went on a business trip with him up North and on our way back from dinner he pulled off the road and headed straight into the woods. He wasn't following any trail because there was none. He was plowing through making his own path. All the sudden we hit something large and H2 climbed over it and then bottomed out on the frame. He said "Don't worry I can press this button and get a couple more inches of ground clearance." What he forgot was he did that prior to entering the woods. He needed to rock it back and forth enough to gain momentum to launch us over the fallen tree laying across the path he was blazing.

Once we were nearly out of the woods he came across a huge hill, the kind that is about a 60 degrees. During his attempt to climb it my hat fell off my head, flew past the rear seat and hit the rear window. A H2 is very tall when it is standing on end and the OH $HIT handles through the cabin are fully functional.

The H2 is a very capable offroader when in the right hands with electronic locking differentials it only needs 1 wheel with traction to climb obstacles.
