any iTunes/Apple TV gurus?
Yesterday my PC iTunes stopped recognizing my Apple TV. The Apple TV is still connected to my WiFi as I can still access Netflix, etc., but I cannot access my iTunes music.
So far I have: -uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes -restored and updated Apple TV -unplugged (and plugged back in) router My iPad also continues to recognize my Apple TV, so I am really stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have you authorized iTunes to 'Share".

That probably was the answer. If not, I assume you've checked the settings on the AppleTV...

Yes, home sharing is on for both apple TV and iTunes. Thanks for the replies though!

I've had to restart (unplug) my computer and the Apple TV to get them to communicate more than once.

I finally found my fix to this and it was to disable the IGMP Proxy setting in my providers router. Apple support and they said the cause is the network is dropping jumbo packets. Once I disabled the IGMP setting in my router and then rebooted my AppleTV it worked.
