New Drum Kit...
Yup...got it! I even began to show our Son a few things. Boyz got chops!
What to don't see is the double kick peddle...makes it really fun! I never had one of those before and it was cool to do a left footed heel-2-toe for kick/hi-hat play. ![]() ![]()

Hope you have enough sound insulation! I was a drummer through out middle and high school and had a set in my parents basement. You could here me practicing 5 homes away. Funny, my 5 year old wanted a small set and we thought it was cute until she banged away at it in the store. After that, thought something quieter would be better.

Its in the media room and not directly above any room but yes it is a headache maker and no, sound insulation will not be used
![]() Next year I shall get some amps and then begin group instruction which means other musicians our kids age will be invited into jam and learn. Ideally I would like to teach them jazz and R & blues but that doesn't always resonate with teens (unless they are very sophisticated) so I may have to chart some standards and pop and slowly introduce it in pieces to them. Also, its something to note that the most famous of all the bands (Beatles, Stones, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd and even Elvis) all had roots in jazz and R&B. The upside is that this town is rich with youth muscians. Finding kids who play interested and parents wanting to get their kids involved is easy...
