North Korea discovers the lair of an ancient unicorn

Really?

North Korea has discovered the lair of a unicorn
North Korea claims discovery of ancient unicorn lair - Pacific - Stripes

Archaeologists of the History Institute of the DPRK Academy of Social Sciences said the discovery was made when a rectangular maker with the words “Unicorn Lair” was found outside the site, KCNA reported. The carving of the marker was estimated to date back to the Koryo Kingdom period (918-1392).

I guess Mel Brooks was right when he said "It's good to be the king". I suspect it applies to any ruler that has absolute power, king, tyrant, emporer, supreme leader, whatever.

"The unicorn lair, belonging to King Tongmyong, founder of the Koguryo Kingdom (37 B.C.- 668 A.D.), is only 200 meters from the Yongmyong Temple in Moran Hill, "

You don't suppose 'unicorn lair" was... um... uh... a euphemism?

North Koreans... epic trolls.

In 1994, Pyongyang media reported that Kim Jong-il shot an amazing 11 holes-in-one on a regulation 18-hole golf course.

He carded a stunning and unprecedented 38-under-par game - on his first and only try at golf. Apparently 17 bodyguards present witnessed this amazing display.

I remember an Episode of Northern Exposure - last season when the doctor went all woodsy and was harvesting mammoth remains. If true that would be one gamey peice of meat! Tough as shoe leather I would imagine but I can see it showing up on a plate in the upper East side at $1800/plate.

The word 'Unicorn' came about in the 13th century and the word lair a bit earlier (900c) so translating the exact word is foolishness, not that such a beast didn't exsit! Just that the sign is a hoax is all...thats all I'm saying. I don't wanna get flamed by a bunch of liberal unicorn sympaticos!
