For flavor get a room in the old section of The Driskell. Downtown Austin Hotels | The Driskill Hotel | Historic Texas Hotels
Puts you right smack dab in the center of 6th St action. Austin-Bergstrom International Airport

But what do you want? Old grand texas type place (driskill)? Funky cool place? Cheap family accommodations?
