Two Chicago prisoners escape. Old School.

These two guys escaped smack dab in the middle of downtown Chicago using the 'ol tied bedsheets out the window trick. 15 stories up. They're still at large.

Next they'll be digging through the wall with spoons, carrying the dirt out to the yard in their pants, and making paper mache faces to mask their escape.

How do you acquire enough bedsheets to make a 15-story rope and no one notices?

Window is only 5 inches wide! They must of broke out some of the wall or either contortionist. Small brained but smart enough monkeys.

Our local jail had someone escape a few weeks ago. The fellow stood on another inmates sholders to reach the roof enclosure, got it open/got through, went across the top to the edge of the building near a nice fir tree. The tree was a few feet from the building. He jumped across, shinnied down the tree and split.

The sheriff had the tree removed all the way to ground level the same day.

Reportedly they reinforced the rope by wrapping it with dental floss. Still as escapes go, pretty daring. If they aren't total morons, they should be in Canada by now. I don't get people lingering in the area after a crime. I did jury duty once on a murder, and two of the three guys were staying in a motel about 2 blocks from home a month after the crime. The third guy hadn't been seen by anyone in Chicago starting about about an hour after the shooting and two years later when we were convicting the other two, the police had no leads.

boomp..

I love a good prison break story, although I am thinking more along the lines of prisoner at war type of thing, not ACTUAL criminals. The tunnel ones are even more amazing. Visit the Panopticon in Philly, and listen to the guided tour (recorded, narration by Steve Buscemi!) great deal of these stories.
