To Goatee, or not goatee. That is the question.

Seems like the goatee is a popular thing these days. Some people look OK, or even better with them, and some people look worse. So, what is the consensus among the pelicans.

Keep it, shave it. Oh yeah, if you must be snarky, do it in PARF.

gprsh924 12-20-2012 07:18 AM

Shave it, you'll look younger.

I think the majority of facial hair looks bad, just my $.02

What he said.

I vote shave, but I'm not a facial hair guy. I get lazy on the weekends and don't shave, but by Monday it starts to annoy me.

Rot 911 12-20-2012 07:26 AM

I find you strangely arousing.

It probably annoys the people around you too.

Doug needs a mustache to go with the T.

creaturecat 12-20-2012 07:33 AM

try adding the 'stache, maybe?
Looks good.

varmint 12-20-2012 07:33 AM

are you a musketeer?
are you a confederate general?
are you in prison?
are you a hipster douche doing it ironically?

if you answered yes to any of these then a goatee is for you.

Doesn't look bad. The gray ages you (us). Distinguished biker look in a way.

I go with the soul patch myself.

VaSteve 12-20-2012 07:35 AM

Goatee was big years ago, it's all beards now.

A930Rocket 12-20-2012 07:37 AM

I'm jealous. I don't have that much hair on my entire face to even start something. :)

Much appreciated.

Unfortunately for me, the wife doesn't care for facial hair-of any kind. So it will probably go, as per our verbal agreement, in January 2013.

On the lip hair, I was going for a look like one of my man crush heroes, Alvin Plantinga. So, sans mustache.

"Soul patch," eh. I figured those had a name. I've always just called them "the caterpillar."

Rodsrsr 12-20-2012 07:43 AM

You photograph well Doug. :)

AKA Flavor saver.....if ya know what I mean... :--)

MRM 12-20-2012 07:45 AM

Please shave. You will look far better without any facial hair.

If I cared I would shave. The wife is good until it gets too scratchy.
