Consumer reports rigged?

The last little while I have made a few appliance purchases and some other stuff for the house.
I did reference C.R. when researching the products. As soon as I had an idea as to what I was looking at, I would checkout a number of online resources to see how the product was reviewed by users.
It seems C.R. reviews only on their criteria and not on reliability.

I noted CR review of my pickup when I bought it. They had a couple valid points that Nissan addressed. I watched as they cut & pasted the next few years & it was evident they hadn't revisited the truck. I'll stick with user reviews that actually use the product, CR is a joke.
