I am glad for the happy ending. They make a nice looking family.

I am/was an old man at the time, but my son came along "unexpectetly" lets say a few years ago. Even though I was 35 and had a good career I was in a state of shock. I loved my girlfriend (wife now) but we wernt ready to be married. She didnt have insurance which was very frigtening.

We never considered abortion, I am the furthest thing from religious but we didnt want any part of such a thing. Everybody was recomending shotgun wedding but I felt that I had already rushed into one thing and I wanted any marriage to be 100% for the right reasons. Anyways it was a really tough time for me and I cnat imagine the same issues at 18.

Fast forward a few years and we couldent be a happier family. Nothing in my life has brought me as much joy as my son. These things have a way of working out for the best when everybody involved cares.

One week until Graduation! I couldn't be more proud of Matthew, I am also very proud of My daughter -in-law Ashley for maintaining a positive, independent attitude. I know it is tough being a young parent but she makes sure my Grandson is happy and healthy and showers Matt with encouraging letters. Some Pics

Looks like a story with a happy ending, or shall I say a happy start?

Congrats.

I think both! This morning on FB I noticed Jason ( Matthews older brother) posted this
" Matt is a lot stronger than me. He says that I am stronger than him. But it is not physical strength. He went in basic with a son and a wife. I went in without a worry in the world. Matt had to worry if he would be able to support his new family. I respect him for thinking high of me but he should look in a mirror. That is who he should be proud of. Not me"

Are they doing 88M school at Benning now? When I was in, it was OSUT at Leonard Wood.
