Old SCSI hard drives - how to get data off?
I've got four old SCSI hard drives that used to be in my PC back when. That PC is long gone. I vaguely recall that one or more of the drives might contain a lot of music files (MP3). So I'd like to get the data off these drives. Problem is, the SCSI-to-USB adapters I've seen are rather expensive ($100+). Can anyone point me to a cheap(er) adapter, or other solution?

I've got an Adaptec AHA-2940W/2940UW I send your way (I'd like it back). It's PCI, so you'd need to have a free PCI slot in your pc.
EDIT: Looks like Adaptec has drivers for Vista/7.

Alas, I don't have a desktop PC anymore. Just an old iMac, a Mac mini, and a few notebooks. Thanks though!

You can send the drives to me and I can get the data off. I bet they are not light, though.

Ha ha, no they are not. But postage will cost less than a SCSI to USB adapter. I'll shoot you a PM. Thanks.
