Addition to the fleet

Very excited about this car!

1981 euro SC... engine is rebuilt, bodywork is mostly done (some rust repairs needed on inner fenders, battery area). Interior is tired, brakes are seized, but a really solid car that will make a fun toy.

Looks like a respray in Prussian Blue, but for all I know it's some GM color. Don't really care... it was a great deal and I intend to drive the snot out of it

Well done! That's the best year of SC as far as I'm concerned (euro 3.0). Is the engine type 930/10 or 930/16? Lots of SCs being parted in the For Sale section, so you should be able to get good interior parts etc

Looks like that whale tail will be up for sale, huh? A nice Carrera3.0 / early turbo tail or duck tail would look great in its place!

Enjoy!
Btw cheap D90 or CupII for sale in the Classified forum, would be great for snow tires for that bad boy.

Yeah I'm thinking a duckie on the back would be nice, although I may go without a tail at all.

Not sure what the engine code is... to be frank I didn't scrutinize it much, I just snapped it up before someone else did

Not putting snow tires on this car... that's what my C4 is for. This will be a summer-only beater. Very excited!

Well done, and I love the "patina" on the 964. Driven as intended.

There is only one MINIVAN. I love the 964 c4, it is as practical and useable as a sports car could ever be. It's an outstanding daily driver, but it certainly feels heavy and somewhat bloated compared to earlier 911's. It's a car you can drive every single day and ALWAYS be comfortable, but the SC will be more of a FUN car.

Runs, but the brakes are pretty seized. I can move it around in the parking lot, but *just barely*.

Not just yet! My wife asked me today:

"Why would you have two 911s?!?"
me: "Because I don't have room for five of them"

She didn't laugh, even a little.

Going to get it home friday (parked at work now), then pull the calipers before I hide it away in a friend's garage for the rest of the winter. Will start haunting the PP classifieds for a used interior, some exhaust bits etc. Might have to start hanging around in the technical forums!

Great battery and starter!
Doesn't sound too bad once it is running.

I have to remember the answer to the question why two 911s!

There may be a low km Golf following me home soon. Not a 911 but still more fun to drive to work than my 3/4 ton.

SWEET!

I love my SC. Really a nice balance between modern and vintage. Not that it feels modern at all!
