Why I love my car.
Spring 13 T-shirts are stuck in Customs for 3 days, you get a call at 5PM they've just cleared, can't be delivered until later tomorrow, but they all need to be sorted, screen printed, washed, tagged, folded and packed to ship the season on time by the end of next week. 3 trips to our importer later...

That is one badass car. Glad you got it all moved timely and outmatched door. But two words: roof rack!
Good Job, Shaun. Can't wait to get my hands on one of your new offerings!

I see your car has the disappearing front passenger seat option... very rare!

Thank you Gentlemen!
Lee, that seat comes out in 5 minutes as long as you've got a 10mm universal socket, which anyone with a 911 should have. Dean, it's a 1994 E320. Only made in 94 and 95, though the earlier 300 class cars are very very close. With the suspension completely refreshed and added H&R springs and Bilstein sports, the car does everything well. Great fun surprising much newer Audi's and BMW's. And it'll take a few sheets of 4x8 plywood on a diagonal in the back, tailgate closed.

Man, that is sweet. I am 100% getting a wagon for my next daily ride. I , like you, am always hauling things. I have been daily driving Jeeps for the last 5 years now, and although they do everything I need them to do, and are cheap to keep running, they are the most soul-less, and boring to drive vehicles I have ever had the displeasure to pilot.
My original plan, was to get the warden a new ride and keep our 528 it as my daily driver, but that went down in flames when it was totaled . I have been searching for older volvo's , BMW's, and now thanks to you, I think I will add one of these to my search list.

Hard to go wrong with a hatchback or a wagon. When I had Saab hatchbacks there were forum threads documenting the weird and large stuff that people hauled in them. Refrigerators, couches, washing machines, etc. Amazing the amount of stuff you can cram in.

I bet it took a while to figure out how to fit all those boxes in there.
Job well done.

nope, no Tetris involved, just packed them in.
Cavernous, though I do cheat and have removed the bottom rear seat cushions that fold up to the front seats. Always hauling stuff and much more of a Sportwagen. ![]() Got redo the vinyl on the C pillars and fixing the rear cubby cover hinges. ![]()

Mercedes wagons are the best. With the third row seat option and a diesel motor, they are the most all-around efficient, flexible, safe, and durable transportation there is. And if you get a gas-powered one (like the '92 300TE-24V we once had), they can be darn entertaining as well.
We outgrew that car (even with 7 seats) when we adopted kids number four through six a few years ago, so we upgraded to the big Mercedes- a Vito with a 2.2 direct injection diesel. It gets 24 MPG even with a roof rack, five bikes on the back and driving on the autobahn at near-triple-digit miles per hour. I hope the van is as solid as your earlier T proved to be, Shaun. With kids graduating and moving out of the house, it may be time to consider another one soon. Or a VW Touran TDI.... Dru Martin |
