Looks like it could be fun but at the same time those guys have got a screw loose someplace. Falling would not be an option. The old saying of "5 cans short of a 6 pack" comes to mind.

Yikes as kids we would do that with only on car or snowmobile pulling the skier!!!! Falling down infront of another car seems to take the fun out for me!

I will have to dig through my pictures from the 70's. My best friend and I made the local paper when I was photographed being pulled behind my buddies dirt bike on snow skis in a field by my house. I also have a picture of my neighbor pulling me on skis behind his horse. In college we skied behind my snowmobile to launch off of jumps (the ensuing flat landings were painful!).

Like Mike I have done this behind a car on a frozen lake when I was a mere pup...but to do it within a pack is insane. One guy goes down around one of those corners and takes down two or three other skiers (with cars tightly up behind them AND with other skiers behind them..). "Oh the humanity!"

Did any one notice that at the end they had a shot of the winner being pulled by a VW.
That can't be right with all the interesting iron involved. Looks too hair ball to me, with the likelihood of being run over if you fall. Cheers Richard |
