I'm in the same category. I like the 911 much better.

It is cool though. And yes it is a '67. It has vent windows, 68s don't.

911dean

Exactly, tis a gorgeous car.

I love/respect what old muscle cars represent, almost all the men, and my mom, in my family have one but they all drive like trucks, guzzle gas, and attract either super rich guys wanting to offer a stack of cash a little higher than the next (Barrett Jackson raise fist and shake!!) or Joe Dirt...

I needed to get away from this...

That's a 67 in the pic. Vent windows and round turn signal lights.

I had one, with a 408", built TH350, 12 bolt 4:10, Big and skinny Welds, Marina blue / white stripes steel factory cowl hood, console and it hit 11's. Mint car- sat nasty and low.

I would still own it had I not needed the money. Got good money for it when I sold it in 1998- or at least by those standards.

Yawn. Tons of these around, all done up the same. Parts are easy to find. I think you used to need a roof and firewall but now you don't even need a car any more to build one. You can get everything starting from the chassis. (That would be a fun project!).

If you are used to German cars, you will learn how to hate domestics. Nothing fits together right. Nothing.

What is rare is finding the ones that have been built for touring car racing not straight line stuff.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ji-hCTySYhc

hit up youtube for the muscle car masters series. All the big muscle, rubbing shoulders on the circuit! Awesome, awesome racing.

1967 also had no side marker lights. All cars had them as of model year 1968.

1967 Camaro:

-Larger, round turn signals
-Vent windows in doors
-No side marker lights

1968 Camaro:

-Smaller, rectangular turn signals
-No vent windows
-Side marker lights added

The tail lights were also different between 1967 and 1968, and in 1967 the chrome trim on the trunk Said "Camaro" in larger script, with a very tiny "By Chevrolet" underneath. I've been told that Chevy wanted to minimize the Chevy logos and emphasize Camaro not knowing how well the new car would sell. After being a smash hit in 1967, Chevy altered the chrome emblems to emphasize "Chevrolet".

don't forget the non-staggered shock mounts. Didn't matter either way but it was the thought that counts.

Nice car, but the wheels are at least 1" too big.
