forget paper plates Vash, how about paper towels?
Vash got me thinking about paper towels. I use them all the time and go through them like toilet paper. I especially like the blue shop paper towels. I go to an old friend's home and they try to be green due to his new, young beautiful wife (Another story for another time) and now use dish towels. they have a little baby, and these towels are used for everything from cleaning the counter to breast milk. Assuming for drying dishes also. I was grossed out because I needed something to wipe the little hands of my children with the same towel before dinner. Money well worth spent IMO. YOu guys use it all the time?

Paper towels are big at my house and they are used generously in the kitchen. A dish towel is a Petri dish for bacteria in our climate, especially in the summer when the inside of my house is at 82F. Of course, if you throw that dish towel into the laundry after single use, it isn't an issue, but if you do use it as a dish rag, wipe etc, and keep it for multiple uses, you are just asking for trouble IMHO.
I am all for green living and young wives, but no thanks on getting the runs from food poisoning. ![]() G |

I use a lot of paper towels. I buy the blue ones for the garage by the case. We have two paper towel dispensers in the kitchen. One over by the microwave and oven - stovetop. The other by the sink.
