woman in a men's bathroom?

Is it legal for a woman to go into a men's bathroom?

Let's say for instance that a mother and her young son are at a restaurant, and he needs to go potty, so she accompanies her son into the men's room because of fear of kidnapping or molestation. A mother is legally allowed to go into the men's room with her young son, and she doesn't need to ask permission, right? I've never seen it happen, but I'm sure it must happen sometimes.

How old is the son? My wife would take my son into the ladies room. The other is asking for trouble.

I love having family bathrooms everywhere these days. Typically cleaner.

I doubt if it's illegal.

I agree, the ladies room makes more sense, and that's how it's usually done. I was just wondering if it's illegal for a woman to accompany a boy into the men's room.

I have seen a few women take their young sons (under 5) into the ladies room with them but never the mens room.

Maybe not illegal, but weird if the adult goes into the wrong room. I always took my daughter into the mens room and my wife always took my sons into the ladies room, nobody ever seemed to think anything of it. Once they hit 5-ish they're old enough to go on their own in the appropriate room unless we're somewhere really sketchy.

that is weird.

they should be in the women's room.

all bets are off if:
1. mom is a milf
2. son is an adult.

IIRC, my gym locker room has a sign that reads no one of the opposite sex above the age of 4 allowed in. Doubt it'd be anything more than a trespassing cite for the parent and that's only if they put up a big stink when mgt. tried to correct it.

+1 on a women taking a small child into the ladies room is the practical/logical/common thing to do.

However... at large concerts/sporting evens when the line for the ladies room is a mile long I have seen men escort their lady friend into the mens room to expedite things... and I have never seen anyone complaint.

On a good summer night at the more popular dive bars here in Dewey Beach there is always a line of women using the mens room. The guys just go outside behind a car.

During Fiesta in San Antonio, on more than a few occasions I have seen many females literally push their way into the mens room and stand outside a stall door til it is unoccupied then go in. Desperate times apparently call for desperate measures...

I take my 5 y/o son in the ladies room.

Matt, ask your wife how she feels but, there's no way in heck I'm letting my son go in any men's room alone any time soon. Honestly though, we don't run into this situation much. If it's a single toilet rest room, I wait outside the door and a lot of places have family restrooms.

Besides..he's a boy, he can pee just about anywhere.

I just wanted to add that women's public restrooms are gross enough..which means the men's has to be 100 times worse...however since we don't have the option of discretly urinating in public( and maybe sometimes simply because we are drunk and in a hurry) soo desperate times do call for extreme measures.

For my son, I take him into the ladies room if I think there may be an issue with predators. My son is bio 17 but chrono between 2 and 17 depending on task. If I am in an area where I do not think predators will be, I allow him to go to mens rooms by himself. The only issue is that I may be standing outside the mens room for a really long time as my son takes his time in a restroom plus I occasionally have to ask someone to check on him. Make sure he is ok.

I once checked a men's room for my wife so she could skip the long line at the lady's room at a race. There was lots of beer flowing. The restroom was almost empty, and she went after the last guy left while I guarded the door. In a couple of minutes women from the ladies room line were streaming in. When my wife came out we left just as a number of men went it. It just turned unisex out of necessity.

At the Oakland Coliseum the bathroom lines can be ridiculous. The lines for the women's restroom even worse. I've seen drunk women in the men's bathroom peeing in a sink more than once. Stay classy, Oaktown.

Don't underestimate the split tails. They can be pretty creative.

Also, the men's room doesn't have a monopoly on nastiness. I worked at a place where we had some "ladies" that chose to hover and hope, with rather poor aim, resulting in a pretty disgusting cleanup job for the janitor.
