No Zombies in Canada!
Apparently, there was some Zombie discussion in the House of Commons...

"Deadicated" -- well-played.
Not to get too PARFY, but who needs a Zombie strategy when your leader is one himself? And the Conservative Caucus acts like a mindless horde . . .

Don't get too critical, some of us think he is doing a great job and by the way, enjoy being in a country that scores pretty high in the G20 in terms of economics....I by far would rather have him than the son of the guy who ruined Canada for 20 years....

I didn't criticize the job he is doing -- but I think you could agree that compared to many of our past PMs he's rather one-dimensional. And, he may have a majority of seats, but not a majority of the popular vote.

![]() As for a majority of seats and popular votes is pretty close to a pipe dream with 3 viable parties and doubt we'll see it any time soon. The closest that I participated in was in 1984 when the Conservative had a majority but only 50% of the popular vote, 50.1% would be the majority. For nostalgia, here are the election years where the governing party had also the majority of popular votes, note that except for 1958 & 1949 there was only 2 "real parties" to vote for: 1958 (53.7%) C 1949 (50.1%) L 1917 (57.0%) C 1911 (51.2%) C 1908 (50.6%) L 1904 (52.5%) L 1900 (52.0%) L 1891 (52.0%) C 1887 (50.7%) C 1878 (53.2%) C 1874 (53.8%) L

Go ahead and see what will happen if the lefty liberals or NDP get in. Taxes will skyrocket. We have weathered the storm over the past few years very well because of our Conservative Gov't.

I always thought that our current PM does look rather odd. Kind of like a plastic robotic version of himself. Just sayin' . . .

But. despite my where I lie on the political spectrum, I would acknowledge that we have been fortunate over the last five years -- in part due to decisions made by our PM. I am more comfortable when we have minority governments no matter who the PM is. |

Minority governments seem to limit the amount of money those in power steal.
Back on topic: Of course there are no zombies in Canada, they are all down in Georgia where that popular TV show is filmed.

As long as the 'Bloc Québécois' exists you can forget about a majority government in Canada. This may, as some have stated, have a positive effect in that minority governments can make for some restraints & limitations on those in power.
Cheers JB
