Ring Terminal to Male Tab (Faston) Adaptor

I'm looking for just 2 of these items - ring terminal on one end; male tab on the other.

I want to use it to avoid chopping on my Vanagon's fuel pump wiring (the new fule pumps now come with ring terminals).

I can't find them at the nearby hardware store and would like to avoid hours of driving around town trying to find them (and wasting $15 worth of gas) or paying $15 in postage; or buying a carton with 1,000 units in it.

Any ideas (other than whittling one out of sheet copper)?

Here is what they look like:

And for fun, here is the old fuel pump complete with the undercoating some guy hosed it down with long ago:

I have seen those at the local FLAPS. They are silly expensive, like 25 cents each but you should be albe to swing that for just a few of them.

Junkyard+dykes/sidecutters.
Some areas of the world are still havens for "old" VWs.

What's up with that wavy ring pattern at the top?

Whats so hard about putting a couple of ring terminals on the wires?

Instead you want to increase resistance to the fuel pump by adding connections?

Anything you can do to decrease resistance and have good wiring connections is going to be VERY helpful in an old Vanagon. I'd solder ring terminals on.

Mike - thanks for the Eagle Day link - I should of checked there... must be getting old

nostril - 2 connections could add resistance for sure - I'll have to think about the wisdom of this...
